Michael McNellis, a professor at Bakersfield College, shared with his class that his 6 year old cousin, Jane was one of the children that are ill due to an E Coli outbreak. She is currently experiencing kidney failure. Please ask God to heal this young girl, to help this family draw close to one another, and for all involved to call upon God for strength.

Please pray that our house sells as we prepare to clear our debts so we can go overseas to work full-time in God's service.

My grandmother, Muriel has been taking several medicines for a number of years now. She was having trouble moving around so they took her in to the doctor. They found out that two medicines were interacting and were actually poisoning her. Please pray that she recovers and that the doctor gets her squared away.

My grandfather, Wayne broke his foot six weeks ago. They put a plate with seven screws into it and then put a cast around it. He hasn’t been able to come home because he needs help getting around. Hopefully he’ll be able to put more weight on it and come home soon.

This has been the hardest week of my life. First there was the passing of my Uncle Steve who was more of a daddy in my life. Then yesterday I was in a car accident and totaled the front end of my car. With the expense of the funeral and the day to days of a being a single mother there is no way that I am able to get my car fixed any time soon. I need prayer for stength and guidance and financial support. A great man told me that god will never give you more than you can handle. I am not so sure at this point in my life. I don't know how I can manage. I know that I have faith in god that he will provide for me. However, I know that god helps those that help themselves. Please keep me in your prayers during this very trying time in my life.

I am in need of prayer for a job. My current job situation is a real challenge and I struggle to get through each and every day. The only way I am able to get through another day is with the Lord's strength. I have cried out to God to help me and He has filled me with His grace and compassion to maintain my witness to my co-workers. Despite the chaos I am currently experiencing He has given me this great peace that He has a place for me....I just need to wait for Him to open the door to the job he wants for me. This has been extermely difficult and gets more challenging each and every day.

Thank you for your prayers.

My aunt, Amy, was found to have a 2x2.5x2 inch tumor on her left ovary. Her sister, my aunt Sue, is working diligently with doctors at the Cleveland Clinic to get Amy seen as soon as possible; as Sue works as a nurse for the Clinic. Please pray that the tumor is benign and to give our family strength and hope as we go forward.

Prayer requests: For Jack to stay off his oxygen, and Tyler to come off his and do fine. And for increased bottle feedings! Those seem to be the only hurdles left. God is so amazing to have brought them this far!

my grandparents are in town so they wanted to help us pack. tasha is out for the summer and i am working 50 hour weeks. so she's at home with the family packing up our stuff. i went home during lunch to get a bit to eat and deliver more empty boxes. seeing all the boxes really makes it become all the more real. before the boxes it was more of an idea. ideas are much easier to digest. we could use prayer for open communication, time to play, and good sleep. thanks.

Tell me that prayers don’t work will you? I just sent this out this morning and God heard you all. Thank you but keep praying that the cancer will vanish. Thank you for taking time out to pray for this little Angel. Below is what my sister just sent me of the outcome of prayers.

Our little girl has once again overcome!! After much testing and many consultations, the doctors have decided that her heart has sustained no permanent damage. They expect her heart rate to continue to rise back to baseline as she heals. Thank you for your prayers!!

She came off of the ventilator today and is breathing normally on her own. Her sedatives have been discontinued and we expect to see her awake and active later today. The nurse is going to attempt to bottle feed her this afternoon as long as Abby doesn't get too tired. She hasn't eaten by mouth since last Thursday so she will probably be thrilled to eat again. The doctor said that we can hold her tonight. I am terrified, but excited at the same time. Thank you all for your prayers and encouragement. With your help, we will continue to overcome. Rachel

My cousin Michael, age 20, is a parachuter in the US Army. They exited an aircraft somewhere in Afganistan July 5. He and a buddy landed and found a fox hole because they got surrounded and ambushed. His best friend died there. Michael was shot in the hip. It entered his pelvic area and ricocheted all over inside before exiting his stomach. It didn't hit any vital organs although it did cause nerve damage. Michael will have to learn to walk all over again. He took 6 steps with a walker a few days ago. Please continue to lift up my family, and the family of Michael's best friend who died in Afghanistan.

Matthew Byrd, 17 crossed over the double yellow lines and hit Carla Christensen. Both have very serious injuries and are at Kern Medical Center of Bakersfield. Both of these people are in need of blood. Matt has blood type B-, and can get B- or O+. I am not sure about Carla's blood type. Houchin Blood Bank is low on blood anyway so now is a good time to donate. Please pray for these people.

Please pray for my mom Marjorie. We just found out recently that all the arteries of her heart are blocked. On Tuesday, August 6 at 7:30 am they will do an angiogram and then try to put some stents in one of the larger arteries. She has some other medical conditions which make heart by-pass surgery unadvisable. She is a strong Christian, and looking forward to going Home someday. We just don't want to lose her yet. Please pray for her, the doctors and that she won't have any allergic reactions to any of the medications or equipment used during the procedure (and her family please). Thank you.

Please keep my brother Mike and his girlfriend, Kristen in your prayers. They recently discovered that they are going to have a baby, due March 15. It was quite a shock to our family, but they will be good parents. Please pray for strength for them as they get ready for our new little blessing.
